Post subject: Societies Awards!!!!!
A chance for everyone to get dressed up nice for a change!
The awards are held annualy with prizes for:
Best society
Best Newcomer
Most Improved
Best Society President
Most Committed Society Member
Best Musical Performance
Best Cultural Event
Best Fundraising Event
Best Society Activity
Best webpage on cardiffstudents.com
Society Achievement Award
and the peoples choice award
We'll be running for a few categories, we won best society activity last year for our lake district expedition and I think our chances are good again this year!!!
The awards will take place in the Great Hall on Saturday 9th May.
There is a drinks reception, table wine and a buffet (they're putting a selection on each table to avoid last years fiasco again)
There will be a band and also a proffessional photogropher there, so we can get a society photo done!
Tickets are £20(so much better value than summer ball!) and we'll be off to buy our first set and book a table just before easter.
Let me know if you can make it, it'd be great to have as many people there as possible, it was a really good night out last year (as you can tell by all the pictures of drunken exec on facebook!) _________________ I Like Smileys!

I just got a facebook message about tickets for the ball, saying they're on sale online now! I take it we need to get them? Have we got a table? Woop woop! Maybe not so much wine for me this year...!xx

Unfortunately we didn't win an award this year, although we have been awarded a bronze star- a new rating system set up to award societies for achievements over the yeat!
We'll get 'em next year!
I need to learn wine is bad, and wine and cameras is worse!!!!!!!! _________________ I Like Smileys!
