Post subject: AGM and Society elections

It's that time of year where we start to think about planning next year and choosing the new exec!
We elect new committee members each year at our AGM. Any member can run for any position. Details of the positions is below!
Nominations will open on Wednesday 25th March and will close on Tuesday 21st April at 12pm
If you would like to be part of the exec next year then send an email to my personal email address: clbeavis@hotmail.com stating which position youd'd like and the name of someone to second your nomination. Nominations will be kept anonymous and announced on 21st April, 12pm
Being in the committee is great fun, looks great on your CV and will actually count as the service section of the award!
If you'd like any more information about any of the positions then post below or speak to a member of the exec
Positions:
President
- Oversees the society
- Coordinates committee and chairs committee meetings
- Needs to be knowledgeable about the Award, preferably holds Gold Award
- Represent the society to the Students’ Union
- Can book minibuses and rooms if necessary
Secretary
- Books minibuses and rooms
- Responsible for official society correspondence
- Records minutes of meetings and the activities of the society
- Advise members of dates and times of meetings, expeditions, etc.
Treasurer
- Manage, maintain and record the finances of the society
- Responsible for the collection of membership fees
- Complete the annual budget application for the Union
Expedition Assistants x 2
- Assist with training of society members.
- Attend expedition meetings.
- Be present on expeditions to offer advice to members and generally help out.
- To actively assist the expedition leader in any organisational tasks
• To help out on expeditions and with training
Social Secretaries x 2
- Initiates, coordinates and attends society social events
- Make sure everyone is happy!

Nominations will remail open to fill positions, there are plans in place if they're not filled, tba at the AGM.
